Healing Should Be Accessible

The Holistic Therapies Fund is an initiative of the You Are More Project that helps survivors of sexual violence access trauma-informed healing services that support their mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

We recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all. While some survivors may benefit from counselling, others may find support through movement, body-based therapies, creative expression, or a combination of approaches. The Holistic Therapies Fund provides financial assistance of up to $500 so survivors can access services with trusted, vetted practitioners in our community.

Our goal is to reduce barriers to healing, increase access to trauma-informed care, and empower survivors with choice in their recovery journey.

Why This Matters

Survivors of sexual violence often face barriers when accessing support. Cost, limited insurance coverage, long wait times, transportation challenges, and a lack of awareness about available services can make healing feel out of reach.

The Holistic Therapies Fund was created to help remove some of these barriers by connecting survivors with trusted practitioners and providing financial support for services that promote healing and wellbeing.

Every survivor deserves access to care that feels safe, supportive, and aligned with their individual needs.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible for the Holistic Therapies Fund if you have experienced sexual violence. You do not need to have reported your experience to the police to apply.

We welcome survivors at any stage of their healing journey and recognize that healing looks different for everyone.

Funding Available:

Approved applicants may receive up to $500 toward eligible services with participating Holistic Therapies Fund partners, and can apply 1 (one) time per year.

Our Safe Partner Network

The Holistic Therapies Fund connects survivors with a growing network of vetted, trauma-informed practitioners and organizations.

All partners complete the You Are More Project Practitioner Certification Training, which includes education on trauma-informed practice, nervous system regulation, responding to disclosures, and creating supportive environments for survivors of sexual violence.

Our goal is to ensure survivors can access care in spaces that prioritize safety, dignity, choice, and compassion.

Beyond the studio, we are passionate about removing financial and emotional barriers for survivors, including through our partnership with the Holistic Therapies Fund. We believe that movement is a vital component of the healing journey, helping individuals move out of a 'freeze' response and reclaim their sense of agency and power.
