About The You are More Project
The You are More Project empowers individuals to call themselves home and reconnect with their bodies through supportive space that promotes mental and sexual health, self-acceptance, and fostering community through movement.
The You are More Project was founded to address a critical gap in supporting survivors of sexual violence. Recognizing the lack of comprehensive, realistic approaches to healing, our organization was established to provide holistic support. Our founder, a survivor of sexual violence, experienced firsthand the need for programming that reconnects the mind and body. This inspired the creation of the You are More Project, which offers evidence-based therapeutic programming facilitated by community experts, incorporating movement and other healing modalities. Our mission extends beyond supporting survivors; we also educate and involve allies to foster a well-informed community. Survivors often face barriers such as societal stigma, shame, mental health challenges, lack of access to support services, financial constraints, and healthcare system barriers. The You are More Project addresses these barriers by developing free, inclusive, holistic community-centered programs for survivors.
